IGT s-plus Slant, cash door cherry bypass

I have an IGT s-plus Slant machine....plays fine with coins, will not accept bills.....trying to work thru issues and it's a big pain having to hold or tape down the dbv/cash can door cherry switch.....what is the correct way to eliminate that switch and hook the wires up together so machine thinks that door is closed

Show us a picture of it.
Is the bracket holding it bent?

I'm not at home.....on a slant top machine dbv/cash can door set up there is no bracket.....the slot that the cherry fits into is built into the metal frame work of the top......assuming u meant switch bracket.......the front cover/ door is a keyed, hinged door that flips up when opened, exposing the switch, dbv, cash can.....I'd like to eliminate that plunger switch thru direct wire connecting if possible

It's been a while since I have worked on slots....forgot that I can just pull the white plunger itself out while I have the door open to test / make repairs.......I'd say never mind BUT I would still like to know how to eliminate and direct wire for the future......do like colored wires connect to each other?.....or do they all connect together ? .....or some other combo?

I'm stuck in Canada for the time being....nowhere near a slot machine or a cherry switch.
The only thing I can suggest is to take out a multimeter and check which pins of the cherry switch are normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) circuits.
When you determine that, then you will know exactly which wires to connect together to make a closed circuit.

However, if the cherry switch works, then what you really need to do is just repair it by looking closely at it and seeing exactly why the plunger isn't working.....that's why I asked if it was in a bent or distorted bracket.

It's a pretty simple switch, try to find out exactly why the plunger isn't opening or closing the circuits between the wires?
Is there something else in the way that's preventing the door to depress the switch?
Loose door hinges maybe?

The cherry switch works......I am leaving it connected and pull the plunger to work on dbv, transport, cash can while front door/ cover is hinged open..... moving on to try and get this thing to take bills.......starting new thread
