Changing denomination on IGT S+

Hello everyone,

So this is my first message on this forum.

I first have to introduce myself, I'm a french and I 'm a novice slot machine owner.

I just bought my first machine which is an IGT S+.

The machine is currently working with quarter size tokens and a Euro bill reader.

I would like to change the actal denomination from 0.50Euro (quarter size) to 0.20Euro (0.05 USD).

What do I have I need to do this ? The seller told me that I need to change the "hopper wheels" and also a chip.

If anyone could help it would be great.

Welcome! To do the change you are requesting, you will need to do the following:


-Change Hopper Shelf Wheel to new coin size
-Change sample coin in comparator inside door
-Use SET015 EPROM to change denomination in program
-Change sticker on glass (if desired)


For this change, you can use the same coin entry/head for this coin change. The only 2 items you must purchase are the hopper shelf wheel and the SET015 chip (approx $25 USD total, not including shipping).

you probably would want to change the coin optic encoder as well.  otherwise you will  not get credit for 100% of the coins inserted.  the smaller coin will bypass the optic sensors and not establish a credit.  this will not happen every time, but enough to make it noticeable.

Jim by the coin optic encoder, do mean the coin comparator ?

the coin optic encoder is located directly beneath the  coin comparator, it is sandwiched between the two optic boards, its the black piece of plastic you could observe with the coin comparator removed.

when the coin leaves the comparator, it enters the channel and is forced to pass through the  three optic beams, if that channel is too wide one of the beams is missed and it will not give a credit pulse for that coin.
