Bally EVO Hybrid SafeRam Clear Questions
« on: November 27, 2020, 07:23:56 AM »
Good day to all, I have a Dec. 2003 Bally EVO Hybrid Slot that had a dead battery so when it boots it reaches the point that I need to perform a SafeRam Clear. I have replaced the battery and left the jumper in the battery off position for now. I have the proper clear chip but the U78 socket it is to be installed in has 4 more connections than the clear chip and I want to confirm the proper position for this chip. Right now it is installed to the bottom of the socket as is the U77 game chip as shown in the photo. Before I turn on the battery and put this back into the slot and power up I want to be sure it is installed correctly. Nothing in the manual I have, shows the position the chip is to be placed. Also I am not sure of the Model series this falls under. If anyone can clarify these questions for me I would appreciate the help. Is there anywhere else I can fine information on these besides this website that also would help.

Oh yes, Can I just do a Clear the ram switch 8 on the Dip Switch and not the EEProm which contains the setup (switch 7) or required to do both???

thank you very much
Larry

I would do both. Message me if you have issues. I have two working EVO hybrids sitting across from me in my office.
