NEW WILLIAMS BB2 OLED SMALL LCD DISPLAYS

     I HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF THE SMALL YELLOW BB2 LCD SCREEN REPLACEMENTS AVAILABLE FOR $17 EA PLUS SHIPPING. THEY WILL SHIP IN A SMALL FLAT RATE BOX FOR $8 REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY PURCHASED. U.S. SALES ONLY. PAYMENT PREFERED PP FRIENDS AND FAMILY. IF NOT USING FRIENDS AND FAMILY ADD 3%. CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ALSO GOOD. PM ME WITH INTERESTS.

NOTE:  THE BUTTON PANEL HAS TO BE REMOVED AND DISASSEMBLED TO INSTALL THEM. IT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL THEM.
I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF DAMAGE OCCURS  IF THEY ARE NOT INSTALLED CORRECT. NO RETURNS.

CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN REPLACING THEM. YOU MUST BE DELICATE WHEN RELEASING THE RIBBON CABLE TABS. THEY BREAK EASILY.


WHEN REMOVING THE OLD ONES THERE ARE 2 TABS ONE ON EACH SIDE OF THE RIBBON CABLE THAT NEED TO BE LIFTED UP TO RELEASE THE OLD ONE. A HOOK TOOL WORKS PERFECT FOR THIS. ONCE THE 2 TABS ARE RELEASED THE OLD ONE WILL COME RIGHT OUT AND THE NEW ONE CAN BE PUT IN. ONCE THE NEW ONE IS PUSHED DOWN IN THE SLOT USE THE TOOL TO SNAP THE 2 TABS BACK DOWN TO LOCK IT IN.

DO NOT PULL THE OLD ONE UP OR TRY PUSHING THE NEW ONE IN WITHOUT RELEASING THE 2 TABS DAMAGE MAY OCCUR.

Adding to my post. If you are replacing them on a regular non splash deck the ribbon release is a little different. There is a small black bar that needs to be lifted up to release the cable and pushed back down to lock. Please ask if you need help doing this. I will add pics later. Thank you.

erbs, can you get your hands on those little square plastic posts that sit on top of the springs that goes thru the SPN board?
I would call it the "actuator posts"?
I busted one of mine...it still works but I know it's going to go one day.

That IS the actuator for the BB2 button switches.

I won an auction for like a 50 of them on ebay for like $15 bucks!

The package is being delivered to me tomorrow morning....I'll know more then!

If you buy his little displays, you can fix them yourself, as long as the buttons actually work (meaning they only have dark/faded screens, but otherwise work as just buttons).

Then it is probably easier for you to just buy a a working one for around 3 bills then.  getting the little screens by themselves for the whole panel is around $300, you then have to add the person's time.  The advantage is that you are essentially getting "new" buttons since the screens will be new.  The ones you buy used, who knows how long they had been in service before it made it's way to you, so it might look nice when you get it, but then it will eventually fad like the one you have did. I have 2 panels that I bought in good working order to have as a backup.  Put them away for 3 years after only powering up once to test it.  Now they are all dark.  It really sucks that these things go bad even without use.  I think the new screens don't start going bad until they start getting used though, I could be wrong on that though.
