I recently put in a door mounted LCD and as I shared on here the cables were too short to actually open the door without disconnecting the cable. Made zero sense. I lengthened the short wires and then I was able to open the door however the cables constantly wanted to snag on the chassis, game boards I stored where the CRT was etc. Still a royal pain.
Today I tore down some of the machine to run the jackpot reset wire and started thinking......there's got to be a better way.
Needless to say everything clears, door can open fully and absolutely nothing in the way of storing some games on the old monitor shelf!
Once I get this thing 100% the way I want it I am going to fully tear it down, sandblast the contaminated metal parts, paint them and fix er up cosmetically. (mouse had resided in here at it's previous residence.)
First picture is before relocation.
Second and third are after.
