Wms Bb1 No video

A little help needed

I took a working bb1 cpu and removed the 512 RAM module to test some other modules. However when I put the original module back in no video.

Any help ideas to get it back working? Is there something i didnt do right when testing?

You have another working bb1 cpu?  Usually if you get nothing it's because maybe the mpu assembly is not inserted all the way (not getting power), or the simm module is not inserted properly.  You could have also zapped the module with static electricity killing it.

Its getting power and stuff it connected properly

So if the Ram Module is zapped i just need to get one that isnt zapped and replace in the cpu?

Also without the anti static wristband how could i prevent this in the future?

You can wear rubber gloves. I will say that killing a SIMM is kind of rare, that is why I asked if you had another working mpu.

Without anti-static equipment, and handling RAM stcks, it's best to grasp the stick only by the edges that don't have any contact points.
Also, ground your other hand out on metal of the cabinet or MPU enclosure before grabbing any electronic circuit boards.
I do this lot during the winter months....well, all the time really...lol

I have a similar issue but its when I installed a BB1 MPU in my BB2e.  I got 2 working MPU's  form a member here and when I install them in the bb2 I get no video or BIOS/POST on the monitor.  When I reinstall my BB2 cpu it boots up perfect.  I'm very careful when touching the cpu, by using a grounding strap.  Just cant figure out whats going on.
