BB3 or BB2/BB3 Conversion???

While I have a mental list of pros and cons, I'm interested in other thoughts....

I'm going to add a couple more machines (likely BB2's) to my collection and don't know if I should get a BB3 or do a BB2/BB3 conversion?

do a bb3 if you can.  The monitors are better and you don't have to do cabinet mods in order to get some games to work because they require a bade cabinet, plus you can also convert to ARGOS without much hoopla to run lock it link it games.

The new generation of slot games that run on SG hardware require ARGOS OS.  A few games will run in the blades, namely lock it link it games.

Is there a better choice for tall top monitors on a blade cabinet other than the NEC 323-2 (32") that I use on my BB2? The Blade screens are obviously wider than a BB2.

Another question...

Are there games that will play on a transmissive BB2e/BB3 conversion that won't play on a transmissive BB3 Blade cabinet?

Also, I'm seeing two types of Blade transmissive screens. One has lights around the inside of the reel window frame, and the other has gray plastic trim instead of the lights.
Correction: They both have the same part number, I guess the gray plastic piece is an option.

I'm trying to avoid spending the money on a NXT3.2 for the BB2 when I assume I can get the same results on the Blade. (I haven't purchased the Blade yet)

I don't really know the answer to that one.  Since I don't own a blade, I can't give you a valid opinion.  I do have themes that were CPUNXT3.x that are working on my bb2 transmissive cabinet, but the original was also on a bb2 cabinet running it that way (i.e. wonka and road to emerald city).  I'm not sure if the blade strips are the same width as the bb2 strips.

What CPU are you running in your BB2 to be able to play the transmissive Wonka and WOZ Emerald City? I was told that these games won't play on a blade, but again that person doesn't have a blade. Yes, the Blade strips are the same width as the BB2 transmissive.

I searched videos of actual casino play on the games mentioned above and they both were in a BB2 cabinet, I assume with a BB3 CPU? Is that what WMS used during the transition into BB3/Blade?

Yes, was using a cpunxt 3.2 mpu with the aux power harness.
