Another very fun advantage of using this SB chip, it is a lower numbered SB, meaning that you can swap around different sound simms and get some great sound from your game. After installing the SB for game setup, also add a DSV 42 sound simm, as long as you have a multi media sound board installed. If no Multimedia board, they are cheap and easy to find. Set the game up using the 42 simm. After playing a few games, you can start swapping in other sound cards. the reason for starting with the generic 42 card is to "unlock" thye sound board. Otherwise, the machine will only play one tune for reel spin, rather than the many different reels spin sounds. that is why we use a 42 first, which actually has good sound on it's own. :-) Hope all this makes sense. You are missing out on great sound using that old SS S-Plus chip.
