Help Identify this Bally Model
« on: January 31, 2019, 06:24:54 AM »
Found this slot machine for sale by me, and have never seen one like it.  The middle portion has some sort of timer that based off of how long it has been since the last jackpot, it will triple the next jackpot.
Wondering if this is a Bally original, or if someone modified it.
Guy wants $1,200 for it.....
Thanks
E :thank_you:

Without some model numbers and seriously looking at wiring and cabinet structure I would probably not even go half of that price never seen one like it been doing this a long time

At first glance it appears to be maybe a 785 progressive top feature, but more likely not. The machine is from "John Ascuagas Nugget Reno" .  It most likely was ordered with special features as many of their machines were . Some traits of these machines : The Nugget attached brass serial number plates that ran in consecutive numbers in several areas of the machine. The cabinet , hopper, reel mechanism, and top unit would each have a tag. The door wiring at the hinge is  often covered with clear coil loom and the coin cup wires are usually cut out. In addition,  the insert coin cover sometimes has a 3rd light in the center of the light cover for the denomination . The light covers are often painted white.

If you want to know for sure if it's all original,  look for the serial number tags. As far as value? That's definitely in the eye of the buyer , but the last one I picked up non working was $50. I've seen a few over the years sell in the $300 range . I'm pretty sure San Diego Slots sold a Nugget 873 some time back for close to $2000. What makes this interesting to me is the timer top feature . I've attached a picture of the front of a reel mechanism . Bottom right corner is the brass Nugget tag and under the counter is the number tag.

I got real curious about that machine and tried calling the seller but it goes straight to voicemail. We'll see if they call back.
