Improve S2000 Belly Glass Lighting
« on: April 10, 2024, 02:05:02 AM »
I have an S2000 Top Dollar (see photos) and the belly glass has the bright tube of light in the middle, but gets darker going from the middle up and the middle down. I'm not sure if the glass has faded over time at all, although it's in good condition from what I can see. I'm hoping to have the belly glass equally illuminated throughout the whole thing and not just have this bright tube of light in the middle. Any idea as to how I can improve the lighting here?

Has anyone used one of these, sounds interesting.

Just noticed minimum order quantity of 20, any of the Vendors have these?

I'm still curious why the tube is so visible in your machine.  :Scratch-Head:
You can see where my bulb is but it's much more diffused. (It's a little overexposed) And, the phone cameras tend to show more than our eyes see as well. Still look at my photo and you can see that it's less prominent.
What's the rating on the bulb?

Looks like it might have a walmart LED tube in it, they are too bright for belly glass cause it's too close to the glass.  They are great for tall and round topbox though.

Hi everyone!
Tater, I have purchased panels from kiesub before- one belly and one R/T for my game king.  Good products, and I want to say the units came from SuzoHapp quickly.  I noticed they do illuminate almost the entire graphic/ artwork of the glass.  The only thing I am disappointed on is the brightness.  If only there was a way to make the panel even brighter to have the signage stand out more.

As an alternative, I have been using 24VDC led strips that are super bright in lumens.  It's DIY on connections and wiring, but really bright on illuminating the whole glass area.

Thank You.

Yes, I currently have the 24v LED tubes in mine, and it looks like the OPs picture, I may try a difuser between the tube and the glass.

Please keep this post ON topic.

The OP was asking why his fluorescent bulb looked the way it did and that's the question at hand.
The subject wasn't about reviewing everyone else's LED panels.

Sorry, wasn't trying to hijack the thread.

The original question was " Any idea as to how I can improve the lighting here?"

Tater

I just placed an order for 1 unit. It did not reject the quantity even though it says 20 minimum. The order went through. It was the only thing I bought from them, so after shipping the total came out to $124.33.

I'm away from my machine at the moment, but I won't rule out an overexposed camera shot. Mine, however, is not like yours. Yours is definitely more diffused and evenly distributed than mine is. Not sure on the bulb's rating.

Looks like it might have a walmart LED tube in it, they are too bright for belly glass cause it's too close to the glass.  They are great for tall and round topbox though.

Yikes! I haven't actually checked out the bulb yet.

My goal is to illuminate the entire glass, but even though you say what you say about the brightness, I'm still gonna give it a shot. What's the reason for your disappointment with the brightness? Their product photo makes it seem like it would really pack a punch! Their description too.

This product is actually exactly what I was hoping to find. If I install it and it does the trick, then this light panel is actually the answer I was looking for. I see your point though.

If this hasn't already been done before on NLG, then maybe when I receive it, I can take photos and document the process. It would be a how-to post of sorts if it accomplishes what I need it to.

I'm not sure if the glass has faded over time at all, although it's in good condition from what I can see.

You could check for fading by putting a different light source behind the belly glass to see if there is any fading towards the middle.

Sorry! I stand corrected.
Still I wanted to either see that flourescent bulb or see the specs on it.
