AVP SAFE STORAGE CLEAR

This is the same as doing a RAM clear on all previous products.
The process can be done only with an eKEY that has been correctly flashed to accomplish this task. The numerical designation of the eKey may vary with theme and version of programs loaded.
See the Safe Storage Clear and Accounting document before proceeding.
This document will reference to what Accounting and Setups will be lost or retained. What is lost and saved during Safe Storage Clear may vary as the product/programs evolve. As a precaution, Always record the accounting pages required by the customer and the setups of the machine before proceeding with the clear process.
All ESD procedures must be complied with while working on the AVP machine. Use ESD Protection Kit P/N 61902590.

• Open the Card Cage Door.

• Remove the cover from the eKEY USB port.

• Leave machine power on.

• Insert eKey into the USB port on the front of the Brain Box. LED on the eKEY up.

• You will see a display imposed over the game screen as soon as the system recognizes the eKey.

• The Operator menu will appear with the Privileged Icon present. All game setups, options, and accounting meters can be viewed before starting the Safe Storage Clear process. If the EXIT icon is touched, the machine will exit the eKey mode and prompt removal of the eKey. The machine goes immediately to the game screen.

• Touch the Privileged Icon to see the options available. Touch the Clear Safe Storage icon.

• This screen provides the opportunity to enter the Safe Storage Clear, go back to the main menu, or exit. Touch the Clear Safe Storage icon. .

• The machine will provide a last chance to exit the utility. Touch Yes if you want to proceed with the Safe Storage Clear.

• The Safe Storage Clear Operation will take a few minutes to complete.

• The machine program will auto-restart when the clear process is complete.

• Systems start up. Key wording in the picture is at the lower left corner of the screen. Authenticating Storage and below that, Authentication successful. This screen will not be seen on released AVP versions, but it illustrates what is going on in the background.

• The game will now restart from the hard drive.

• The system will re-verify the eKey.

• The machine will automatically launch into the Touchscreen Calibration screen. It is recommended that the touch screen be recalibrated at this time. All Setup Options and the Bonus Games are touchscreen dependant.

• Proceed with the touchscreen calibration process. Then touch the Exit icon.

• The second screen will require verification of the communication options and save if any need to changed. Touch the Exit icon.

• The next screen is Validator Configuration. Testing has shown that all validator options are cleared during the Safe Storage Clear process. Be sure to advance though all of the Bill Validator Configuration screens using the Next icon. Be sure to save! Touch the Exit icon.

• The next screen is Bank Cash In Configuration is the Limits setup area. Be sure to go through all the pages of this area and verify the values. Testing has shown that Safe Storage Clear does not clear these values. Be sure to use the next icon and proceed with all of the Bank Play/Win & Bank Cash Out Configuration pages. Be sure to save any changes made to these configuration screens. Press the Exit icon.

• The next screen is the game, denomination selection and max bet screen. Lifestyles information is hard coded in to the system so nothing can be changed. Future releases will provide percentage selections, denomination selections, and maximum bet selections in much the same fashion as the Game King and I Game Plus products. Press the Exit icon.

• The screen will go blank and restart the AVP Loading process.

• The screen will go blank with the exception of the door-status-menu-bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen and Out Of Service Box in the middle of the screen that will prompt the removal of the eKey.

• Remove the eKey.

• The machine returns to the game screen all by itself.

• Press the self-test switch and enter the Setup Menu.

• Check all options that were not included in the Safe Storage Clear operation setup review before the machine restarted
