Bally Slot Machine - Strange Display Problem
« on: July 11, 2014, 11:59:17 AM »
Machine worked fine when I got it. Started getting weird errors on the display and now it shows error PIC16 Timer Out.  Internal components look just like a normal computer but i dont really know where to start with this. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

it does not look like any i have seen. however the only pic i see is the big ic at the bottom of the battery. i would start with that, download a data sheet for it and if you can get to the board while its in the machine check that it has power. the error talks abought a timer missing maybe the cristal for the pics clock went bad. or i see a button under under the pic maybe its a reset but i don't see a label.

I'm more thinking a clone or prototype if it's not a standard machine. I mainly work on igt machines or anything with a computer in it.
