Bally 873-4zz changing florescent bulbs to LED

wanting to change the Florescent bulbs to LED in the door and the belly glass just wondering if  i need to use the starters or if i have to re-wire anything ??

that depends on the led used.  Some don't need the starter or ballast (you'd need to rewire a little to put the 120V directly on the lamp socket), others plug right in with no changes.  Get the part number off the tube (probably F6T5) and look to see what's available. 


another option is rip out the existing 120 lighting and bodge in lower voltage leds however you want.  You'd probably have to stick a power brick in the cabinet someplace to power them.

If the lights are working okay, you might consider leaving it original.
This would be a selling point when being sold.


There is a slight chance the LED may create a hot spot as in unbalanced lighting / bright line.
But, it’s your machine. Would be great to see before and after photos.
