Earthquakes!

Here just a bit ago another quake near/around the LA area a 4.1.  These in the last month have became more frequent.  I have a lot of friends in calif. and neighboring states. Not a good sign in my opinion as far as how frequent they are becoming.

BREAKING (AP): Another quake has struck once again in Southern California, this time in Rowland Heights. The 4.1 temblor rolled through town around 2:32 p.m. Seismologists at CalTech report over 100 aftershock have occurred since last nights 5.1 La Hambra shaker. No injuries have yet to be reported with the recent earthquake.

I see on recent news -Far to the west a Major earthquake and tsuami -8.2---   -sometimes there is no where to hide.  The Earth is changing and often as we all know it comes quickly.  There is Much that could be discussed and debated about this topic. I have opinions-That is all as I damn sure am not a expert on these--NOW Hurricanes-- I would have some good educational data there and tornadoes.    .

Don't know if I seen the news correctly this morning but said 4.0/4.1 (can't remember) in OK. --       Also did you know tonight and t'mrow on sunset and rise, mars,earth and sun I think align in perfect angle-?

Keep in mind that very large quakes occur on (usually larger) faults that have not had any major (or sometimes any) activity for a long time. The pressure on faults is always building. Smaller, more frequent quakes relieve the stress and help prevent massive quakes, so having lots of four-pointers and an occasional fiver isn't really a bad thing.

Even low fives aren't that bad because of the strict construction requirements in California. We had aftershocks larger than 5.0 after the Northridge quake and those of us who were near ground zero in the main quake just shrugged them off. I knew one person who got nervous when a +5 aftershock hit while we were together, but that person was over 30 miles from the San Fernando valley when the main quake hit and hadn't experienced the difference.
