Question about the TI of TITO

My S2000 has stickers saying "insert cash or tickets".  Inside was a Gen 2 printer.  I put paper in it, go through the settings and I have it printing tickets (the TO!).  I was unable to get it to accept the ticket.

Before I go through the settings I found on the following forum, can someone answer a simple question for me?  What does the TITO board look like? Where would it be?

If I'm understanding all that I'm reading, my machine might be able to print tickets WITHOUT having the capability of accepting them.  To accept them I need the TITO card.  Before I make those changes and possibly not be able to get back to where I was, I'd like to be able to just look and see if I have a TITO card.  I do have a WAPP Easy Pay...is that what allows me to print tickets?

WAP easy pay is what the casino uses to allow your machine to redeem tickets. For you at home, you need to purchase a home TITO board and install it. Your machine will not redeem tickets without it. The vendor listed on the homepage, bettorslots, has such a device for sale and it works quite well. Call him or visit his web site. His name is Jim. Unless you purchased your machine from a vendor that specifically advertised the machine has TITO the chances are slim that you have one. It is an aftermarket item so no casino would have them installed. It is just a small board that plugs into the bottom power distribution box (silver one behind the hopper.
Check the first stickied item in the classifieds on this forum.
It will explain about a TITO conversion and Jim will be able to help you out.

You guys are great, thanks for the quick replies.

So, the Easy Pay explains the stickers on my machine "accepts tickets".  The casino uses the WAP Easy Pay board, but they won't work for me.  I didn't see any additional boards plugged into my power supply so I will definitely need to go with an aftermarket vendor to get my machine to accept the tickets.

Explains a lot.

For the sake of understanding the topic clearly.  "WAP" and "easy pay" are two different things.  Easy Pay is what is usually known as TITO.  It is the term given by IGT to the whole structure that supports the printing and acceptance of tickets.  In a casino environment, all machines are networked to servers that keep track of the tickets printed and redeemed.  The little box in the S2000 marked (Wap Easy Pay) is just the interface board between the slot and the casino back end hardware.  This same box is also used for Wide Area Progressive connectivity.  Those are the HUGE jackpots that some machines have (you know the million dollar jackpot types) that are not just local to the machine (progressive) or to the casino itself (Local Area Progressive) but also to a bunch of casino properties.  These jackpots are usually run by the manufacturer and are leased machines to the casinos, where the casinos get a cut of the machine's earnings, but the payout is done by the owner of the progressive jackpot, which in most cases is the manufacturer of the slot.
