Enhanced S2000 key chip question

From a customer, Key17 and Key45 didn't work to re-activate the board but somewhere I was reading that he needs a KEY31.

Is this the correct key chip to get a enhanced board working?

He showed me the board, first one I have ever seen, and the main MPU and programs are on a piggyback board that plugs into the main board.

Key 45 for legacy adapter, RBK00001 for R or RG flash boards.

what are you attempting to do?   the key chip won't work if their are credits on the machine!,  that board should have a 1270 as the last four digits of the part number. there are two batteries on that board, a coin cell and a ni-cad, the ni-cad should be removed along with a component.  this could cause the board not to function.

It is the top board image so it uses the KEY45.

Here are some second hand comments from my friend who is trying to get them going.

His customer had decided to replace the batteries (both) on four machine boards, but did all 4 boards at once and did not remember what machine they went to.

Plugging a board into a random machine he gets "type mismatch".

So using the KEY45 he gets the proper response of one light on, remove Key chip, put base back in and gets "key chip error" and type mismatch.

Some where on this site there is a list of s2000 sb numbers you could use to match up the boards to the right machines. also usually the machine serial number is written on the front of the boards. if you don't have a clear chip you can go into key chip config and set accounting denom coin denom and machine type once those are set and errors are clear you can go back and do the key chip to set up printer game percentare etc. You should get 2 yellow lights.

I did a forum search for s2000 sb numbers but nothing came up. If you know where the list is hidden please let me know.
