A 16 and 32 is all you need as there isn't a Vision game that takes 48mb. The largest file I have seen is a 33mb Pink Panther. What is your sb chip # and what is the BGM # on the ATA card. Bill

You have an 8 and 32 mb. should be more than enough. Take out the ATA card on the side; you don't need it.

So, the best solution is to replace both SIMMS?

I will send them to a friend who has got a Pinkie as well which came from the same casino, he will test them for me and tell me if by any chance one SIMM is still good...

Yes... it more than likely has advertising on it which would explain why you wouldnt have enough memory available.

It's a good question.. Some have two of the 32 cards... I used a 16 and a 32 as the two 32 cards gave me the red screen of death. But regardless; he has an 8 and a 32... it's more than enough as the largest memory game for a Vision is 33mb... BUT he has a card on the side also which was used by casinos for advertising buffet specials, room rates, etc... That side card would possibly put him over the memory limit.

Both cards have been sent to a friend for testing, I ill then know which one was toast. Maybe both...I will let you know.

Hey

While I am waiting for my cards to be tested by a friend I tried some other used cards today.

There was some progress as the machine booted up, the reels turned but as I coled the door I hade another red screen. Please take a look at the picture.

Did you use the proper SB and version chips with the different cards?

I see you have sb336 so I am guessing it is a maybe 3 coin 1 line game. Mine uses sb339 for 5 coin 5 line. Your sg104 is another difference. We vision lovers have found the SG248's and SG380's work very well. Have you ever seen this machine working? I know you seem to work on them and send them to the Casino. 248's will work for single denom. 380 will work for multi-denom. Have you installed the jumper in the monitor so you can see what the monitor is doing? May tell you what it is needing.

The 32 was dead. My friend tried it in his Pink Panther and he got the same troubleshooting.

The 16 was good. All I have to do is to get a 32.

I will post a picture when the machine actually works fine.

I knew something was off with that memory. Definitely post some pics. We'd like to see them. I am currently building a Pink Panther Vision. I hope to be done soon.

I have got a question:

Is MT16D832M-6X 32MB the same as MT16D832G-6X 32 MB? The original has got a G in the reference while there an M in the one I found to replace it? Does it matter?

The machine eventually worked fine. One SIMM was dead, the 32 one.
