It does not have a speaker tray but I do have a few spare trays, still there is no molex plug at the bottom of the cabinet that it can plug into though. It does have the small bracket for the molex plug just like a S2000.

That may be your problem, missing the two wire molex in the bracket and the correct coin tray with speaker and speaker wire harness.

This plug is just two wire like s-2000 -can't remember. You did say earlier you have normal sound just no bonus sound. I don't think it was a 4-wire pin on bottom bowl/speaker tray. I looked at the fruit boards earlier, they are always on there, If you had a issue in sound board you could look into that-But in the uk. Not sure yet if this is a componet issue yet, If it is we could probabably repair it-would be a resistor/cap issue I would think.

David, If you do not see the connector in the bracket look for the wiring shoved in the back, the molex's get dicked up and will not mate at times-(see this a lot). Still not sure if this is it however.

I will look inside of the machine to see if i can find the speaker wires. Does anyone know that if during the bonus round if you get the same type sounds as the S2000 version where is says 1st offer, final offer, etc?

Yes you do but they are not the same, simular. (on top box sounds).

Half way there!

It was the wiring harness and speaker in the tray. I found the red and black speaker wires tie strapped inside the cabinet, put two new ends on the wires and put them on the tray speaker and now I have bonus game sounds, thanks guys for pointing that out. I dd not know a S+ machine could have sounds coming from a speaker tray, too bad the main game sounds-spins and rollups don't come through the same speaker. Now to try to figure the menu settings to increase the main game sounds. Karma to you guys, thanks for the help.

Since I can't access the menu to increase my game sounds, can I just replace the 16mhz board with a regular S+ board that has the blue volume control on top or does it have to be a 16mhz board since it is a Barcrest title?

You need a 16meg board for Barcrest. What SP do you have? Can't you access the menu by pushing the DIAGNOSTIC BUTTON until you get a 2-0 or 2-1 ? No credits of course

I will check the SP and report back. And no, I never get to a 2-0 or 2-1. I am pressing the self test button behind the on/off toggle switch inside the main cabinet, do I need to be pressing the test switch in the top box instead?

That's a type 33 SP. I used SP985 and SP1113 with no problem. I think Roz is having the same problem with the same SP you have.....um , I wonder.

No you need a Type 33 SP.
Something definitely odd not being able to get in the menu....

WHEW!!!! Here I thought it was just me!!!! I'm running an SP1100..I know, WTF is that? Well, I don't really know, since I don't have any documents on it (even if I had the documents it really wouldn't solve anything, well, with me, maybe for you guys it would!).

I'm open (not to be take. out of context, sickos) to almost anything at this point. I told you all I would go back and mess with the stupid machine, but I really don't have anything I HAVEN'T tried yet...but I will try it all again, just for lab purposes.

Roz, it appears that we both need the SP chips that dale suggested. My question is why would the wrong SP chip be in either one of our machines?

I looked up SP1024 and it shows to be a type 33 for Top Dollar, so I must be doing something wrong. When I get home this evening I will try it again and this time I will mark down and report what I get in the displays as each time I press the self test switch and possibly that may lead to what I am not doing right.
