S2000 coin-in jam
« on: February 15, 2017, 11:08:02 AM »
Just picked up S2000 when first turned it on it would not go past the close the main door. had the wrong optics on the door. Corrected the optics and it finished booting. Now i got coin-in jam error. this is a coin less machine has the jumper wire.  I switched both in and out boards, main board checked all connections. How do i know witch in and out board is correct. this is a 3 reel 5 button deck machine. the machine that i switched the in and out boards with is a 5 reel 15 button deck,  both machine had the same part number on the in and out boards. The door board part number is IGT14930203 and the cabinet board is part number 14930200. The boards that came out of the machine with the coin-in error works in the other machine.

Did you try opening and closing the door a few times? That may clear the error.
Next, have you done a clear on the machine? You didn't indicate if the machine worked before. It may "think" it has a coin comparitor in it. You have to change that.
And, just for safety sake. have you checked if the MPU board has the green Varta battery in it? They leak and will wreck your board. Remove it.

I'm on pain meds now so if I goofed up anywhere, another NLG member will chime in.  :applause:

Do you know if that MPU is good? I have seen that message caused by a bad mpu. What are you using for your clear and key chips on the machine?
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

When you clear/key, are you given the option for no coin comparator, correct?
I'm in So Cal, you must be north of me I bet. Hope that damn dam holds out!

Are there credits on the machine? If so, they need to be cleared.
If not, someone needs to chime in on the clear/key. It may need a different clear chip.

Wrong door I/O for a standard button panel. Use 14928001.
