I have no sound coming from the right channel speaker. There is a slight hum but no game audio. My woofer on the bottom is not working at all. I checked the connector and cleaned it with contact cleaner and still no sound. I removed the connector from the tray and plugged it in directly and still no sound. I traced the woofer wire back up to the top cabinet to a board mounted on the back of the cabinet. The other two speakers also plug into that board. That must be the amp board, so is it bad? The slot game is a Double Diamond with a manufacture date of 02-2003. Thanks for any help.

Update: I got the woofer working. The spade connectors were not making contact at the woofer. Big difference in sound now! Now to get the right channel working.......

Some themes only have one speaker working. Don't know why. You could splice the wires for both speakers. There are lots of speaker wiring harnesses available.

I have a double diamond S2000. I ended up splicing the wires as Elvis said. Now you may have a bad woofer or it may need some wire work also. I just hooked mine up directly (as you did) to the speaker and it has worked since. I left things so they can be changed back if I change game themes and add a sound card. It sounds great since then.

Thanks for the replies! I plan on soldering my woofer wires to the connectors. So I guess that this machine is mono only so I will have to splice the wires together for left and right. Thanks again!

Are using an MML2 adapter with sound simm on the MPU? If not, you will only have mono sound. A quick fix would be to add that option

Rob, Does adding a daughter board and sound simm work on Vision slots too? I know it never gave any different sounds.

Not generally as I believe vision cabinets were mono, but wired to both speakers, if that makes sense

Some of the games I have came with sound boards and I removed them.  Maybe I'll put one in to see what happens.

Give it a shot. I don't have a lot of experience with vision machines, but was under the impression they didn't benefit from sound boards
