Call Attendant on Display
« on: March 31, 2018, 09:50:02 AM »
Hi guys.
I haven't used my machine for about 3 months (IGT S 2000 Double Diamond Deluxe) and when I turned it on the display showed "Display NETPLEX link is down", and then "Please Wait --- Memory Testing".  After memory test delay, the display went directly to "Call Attendant ".  Both lights on the candle are blinking. The lower light blinking very fast and the upper light blinking slowly.
I tried operating the Attendant reset key to obtain error message or codes, with no results.
How do I determine what the fault is or where do I start (what procedures) to get error codes or diagnostic results ?
Please advise.  Thank you in advance.

Open the machine door and it should tell you what the error is.

The display says RAM ERROR.  What manual page or section describes this error ?  how do I check further to localize the problem.  Thanks for the help.

With the door open turn the jackpot reset key a few times following the directions on the screen.  Your battery may be low, it should tell you if it is.

Thanks Tilt.
You called it right, the battery is low.  I have ordered the new battery and will install it as soon as I get it.
Again, thanks for your help.

Well, I'm back again.
I took the Main Board out and there is NO Green Virta battery in the circuit.
There is, of course, the Yellow Button battery and I assume (and you know what that means) i need to replace it. It measures almost zero volts.
My question is ??? What gives with the Green Virta battery ?  What is it's purpose ?  Do I need to add one ?
Do you need additional information from me (pics or such).
The machines been working great without the Green Battery.

Please advise.  Thanks is advance.

You assumed right. Replace the button battery.

Varta batteries likes to corrode and ruin the board.

The Varta battery isn't needed in the home .. its a tattle tell battery for when the power goes out in the casino so they will know if the door has been opened during a power failure.

Glad to hear you got the battery replaced and the machine up and running again!  You shouldn't have to worry about changing that battery again for a few years.  They last quite awhile.
