Noisy Backlit Reels

Had the Tabasco kit installed before this kit same amount of noise ....it is possible that they were trimmed to short ...with the TDD kit the strips are non backlit with the same amount of noise ....To me ...just my opinion... the reels /strips are noisy even when enhanced tunes are playing ....A little noise I can understand / handle.... the grinding sound to me drives me nuts ....
 
Cowboy - I saw what Bunker did with the zip ties at the spokes ...but those were non backlit reels correct ?

Yep, I should have looked, they aren't made that way. You could try cutting a zip tie or narrow pieces of firm plastic to length and super gluing them across the span with the reel strips already in place, but I still think this is an age related issue

Yeah ..I was thinking about doing the same thing ...maybe I can make something work.....I know these parts get wore out ..but it doesn't hurt to try and modify them if you can...     In the mean time I will be looking for a replacement set......
