It looks a lot like a PE+ to me but without a bill acceptor. AFAIK PE+'s always had a BV. So it's either a PE or a new sight to me at least, a PE+ without a bill validator. The date on the tag confuses me tho I don't think IGT made regulae PE's in 93 did they? Very interesting machine for sure, I think it's def in the PE family, it rly seems like a PE+ without the BV which I've never seen before! I'm sure the more experienced here will add more info, cuz sadly I rly only know PE+ since its what I own, and it sure looks like one to me

PE or PE+ ?  your machine has the looks of a PE machine, with a PE board. which means your can only use a single poker game at one time. You can up grade your machine to use a "super board" which would allow you to install a multi game poker set ,which has five poker games to choose from. as far as the monitor,  it normally had a 13" crt with a ceronix 1492 chassis, still around and available, however, you can purchase a LCD monitor from Ceronix (Auburn,Ca)
for about 400.00 ,,plug and play type. Contact them for more information , Ask for LISA.

Thank you for replies so far. The actual question still stays for me  whether it is PE or PE+?

Thanks

What is needed to upgrade the machine? Besides the board itself of course.

Not hard to upgrade to a superboard, it's just the backplane (motherboard) and the board itself, matchup the wires, plug em into the new motherboard and you're good to go. Mine came with a superboard but my motherboard EEPROM went kaput and I had to replace it, not a big deal at all. Like I said just match the plugs/wires up and you're good to go

So it's a PE+ then? Since that board certainly has the connectors I (PE+ owner) am used to. My board plugs in just above the monitor though, I guess they changed that location in later machines after you left IGT? Great post tho, very informative, love learning as much as I can about these :)

I have to apologize for the misinformation I posted, I caught the mistake, the picture of the board you posted is in fact a "superboard"  you may already have a multi game ability!.

your machine is a PE+  with out a bill accepter,  board should be mounted on the left side of the machine.

It looked like a PE+ thru and thru and the board did look like a superboard to me. But just returning to the site I didn't wanna be very forceful about my opinions and the missing BV threw me for a loop. I thought all PE+'s had a built in Bill Validator, this is the first I have ever seen without one. Great info in this thread for sure, I've learned much!! :)

Looking on the bright side being home all the time I can play the PE+ more, can continue working on getting a Game King and check NLG every 10 minutes or so LOL. :) :) <3

Thank you all for your kind replies, they helped a lot.

Now I am going to search for the plug and play replacement LCD for this unit. Ceronix is not responding to my e-mails, maybe they do not want to ship to Europe or some other reason, but I have not got any replies from them. Anyone know some other good and verified manufacturer/supplier?

Thanks

Supposedly on the website these are plug and play replacements direct from them https://www.ceronix.com/102-players-edge-pe.html I am assuming that's the link you found. I will try and do some digging and see what else I can come up with if that link is what ya used

And also one from spin, inc. I've dealt with them in the past for some PE+ parts, FABULOUS ppl, REALLY went the extra mile to help me. Cant praise them enough http://www.spininc.com/11213-0 Hopefully one of these is what you're looking for, I ofc would lean towards spininc after my past experiences with them. All seem to be the same product tho

I'm late to the party, but I agree that it's a Player's Edge Plus (PE+) with a superboard in it, and a somewhat rare video poker game called Jackpot Poker.  Fun game.  When you get a four-of-a-kind, you get to pick from one of five "slot machines" on the screen, using one of the five "hold" buttons, to determine the payout for the quad.

Thank you all for help.

I am now struggling to get one replacement to Europe, seems that there is no official ceronix distributors here who would like to sell LCD  to me:( It is quite a struggle to get it through customs as I am not dealing with this kind of thing daily. Customs asked for quite a lot of documents for declaration and I am not sure to get them from ceronix as they dont even bother to reply to my price request. sad sad thing..

Google “proformia invoice”
I have shipped It equipment all over the world.
Ie buy in canada, configure, Rebox and ship.
If you create a proformia invoice and put at least two copies on the outside of the box you will not have any custom challenges. Once again be sure to have at least two copies as one customs group or another will take a copy and the second customs department will hold up your shipment.
I usually also write used equipment, one way company transfer. This statement usually releases me from having to pay import taxes.

I am not sure if the sender is willing to write that for you as this is being sent factory new.

On the flip side if your shipping to China they don’t want used equipment coming into the country and that statement will cause it to be held by authorities.

Hope this helps.
