MK6 upper displaysetup

I have a pair of MK6 video slots and I was thinking about putting in the upper displays.
Does anyone have any info on how and what I need to do this?

You need a machine that is capable to add one to.The topbox is different on those.I have some pictures somewhere showing it.Ill have to find out where they are

This should be what you are looking for.Uppers cant be added if its the old style topbox.
Once you put in upper monitors you can also upgrade the machine to a Viridian (mk7).I have upgrade kits if you ever decide to do it.

Well I have the right cabinets for the upgrade.
Now what parts do I need and where can i get them?

You need to find someone who scrapped a Outback Jack,Banana King or a Mr Woo.Those machines will have the whole top monitor assy. that mount right in


Also you need to make sure the connection on your back plane is a vga and not a molex connection for the top monitor.I attached a picture of the correct back plane.And you need the add on video card that goes on your mk6 board

The only reason you need the top monitor is if you are going to run the games I said from above or if you are doing a mk6 to mk7 conversion.

I have the video cards and the back planes has the VGA connector.
Ive tried the system with computer display and without the dual
screen games the display was just a copy of the main screen.
So Ill be on the lookout for a pair of displays with mounting hardware
and dual screen games.

I just added a top monitor to one of my mk6 and converted it to a mk7.I attached some pictures.

Spin had them on sale a couple of years ago.They are hard to find now.
