Does anyone have any information on this topic ?? Need info on what serial to fiber converter to use with S2000 in pass through mode. Thanks

I could be way off base here but why are you using a serial to fiber converter?
Can't you just use the fiber output on the machine? I think it's on channel 1

The IGT utility program uses the serial output from the PC and the the optic input of the S2000 in pass through mode to get to the VFD display. If there is another way please let me know. Thanks.

Ron,  This is what I used in 05/06  keep in mind it is 2014 and I deal with many games so at times my Brain gets full.  This is the convetror that will work with that program.  There are others that are a bit newer but do the same thing.  Lap top, proper cables and convertor,fiber optics,pass thru-mode,proper program-operating sys program,proper game flash loaded and verified. From my memory some of these are time consuming to program.  You can use ANY s-2k given the proper equipent to program these.  Will get with you later.  It has been busy here.

This is to re-new the desire for these.  I thought and always knew this was handy as these cost 3-500.00 each.  Without them you have a Boat anchor. Ron, You should have the convertor t'mrow.  Good luck grass-hopper-- . 777  (in referance to a working aux vfd for specific application).
