Install of a Progressive Meter
« on: July 29, 2014, 09:02:13 AM »
I was wondering if it was possible to install a progressive meter into my "Triple Double Dollars" slot machine?

Ive seen some progressive meters on eBay

Igt S2000 Cds Progressive Meter Complete
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Igt-S2000-Cds-Progressive-Meter-Complete-/371106002496?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5667a43640
7 Segment Dual Mini Photon Progressive Meter For IGT S2000
http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-Segment-Dual-Mini-Photon-Progressive-Meter-For-IGT-S2000-/371075148618?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5665cd6b4a

They both say they plug into the "netplex" board on the top of the slot machine and come provided with a "keychip" to program.

Attached are pictures of my "netplex" board.

Now I have the "keychip" and there are no options within the menu to enable a progressive game mode. Ive also seen on ebay where you can buy a International Version Chip that allows you to select Operator Menus. Dont know if with the International Version Chip ill be able to enable progressive game mode? Or is this just not possible with the particular game installed on the slot machine?

IGT S2000 International Version Chip
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IGT-S2000-International-Version-Chip-/261544075508?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce53de0f4

Thanks!

Hello,

It also depends on the SG = Stepper Game.
Some chips do not accept progressive.

Otherwise, to enter into the menu of progressive, you have to  use the  keychip and go into the menu 7.3
Below, you will find a link, where, at the bottom of the first message, the Word document bhinkley which shows all the menus on the S2000.

Unless ramiro was a member in the old site he will not see the link attachment.

Ramiro
I believe your game will handle progressive.  Version chip should not matter.
Like Nurbo stated if you can get to menu 7.3 you should be good to go.
you can check this without using your key chip. You just won't be able to set progressive up( make changes)  without it.

The set up for the cds and the mini photon is similar.
With the ticket printer in the top box you will not have enough room to mount the cds where the player tracking panel is so you would have to not have the printer installed to have enough room. Even then you will have to take the cds out of it's metal box to mount it there. Check the cds progressive topics on this site to get some ideas on mounting.
Otherwise you will have to find a round top glass with a progressive window, then the cds should mount right in big and bright.
The mini photon may be easier to mount in the glass you have.
Not sure if the mount shown on the flee-bay site is for round top  or chop top.
It may not matter I do not use mini's someone else here should be able to tell you.

I messed around for hours trying to program mine. A member from Vermont called on phone and walked me thru it. Still took about 15 minutes. I wish I was able to write down all the instructions.  I hope someone jumps in for you.
Thank Ya Thank Ya Very Much.

I checked an I only have access up to 7.2 menu. When I bought the slot machine it came with a 3 224 clear chip and a 145 key chip. Don't know if maybe I have the wrong clear chip/key chip or if this particular game does not have the option for progressive set up?

The sb/sg combination should be the only thing that matters.
What sb and sg  chips are you using? The clear and key chips you have should be OK.
From you other post I'm assuming your SG chip is a 000198.
I'm not sure if they support progressive with your sb.

I, personally, would not recommend that Clear/Key combo for your machine, but others will argue. We ONLY use a Clear 97/Key 31 on reel machines, but like I said, others will argue it. What board do you have in it? As that would determine (to me, at least) what Clear/Key set to use.

I think the SG chips may be your real problem though.

Key 45 is the recommended one for 1270 with legacy, but key 31 also works.

A few themes do not support having a progressive configured.

Ramiro83, if you do not have access to the menu 7.2 it is because of your SG chip.
I had a case with my Super Spin Sizzling 7 has SG000399.
With this SG chip it is not possible to enable a progressive.
I am looking in the keychip menu, I see the "Progressive 7.3", I do not purpose-have 7.3.1, I Did That:
7.3.2) Progressive Display Setup
7.3.3) Stand Alone Setup
7.3.4) SAS Progressive Group

Find on a PSR :
GAME TYPES
Type 19 (4th Coin Buy-A-Pay or Magnificent Seven)
Type 69 (Spam)
Type 73 (Big Times Pay, Pay Bonus Times)
Type 76 (Haywire 4-reel)
Type 78 (Super Mag 7 Classic 7s)
Type 143 (Super Spin Sizzling 7s)
NOTE: Progressive capabilities are not available in Type 19, Type 69, Type 73, Type 76, Type 78 and Type 143 games.

But I do not know at what type belongs the Triple Double Dollar.
According to his other post, he has a SB100060. It also corresponds to the Triple Double Diamond
