SG, SB and VS chips Questions
« on: July 29, 2014, 09:00:16 PM »
Hi, I have a Triple Double Dollars Slot Machine S2000.

I was wondering if I change my SG (Stepper Game) "SG0000198  1 of 2 and SG0000198 2 of 2" for a different SG Chip? Or does it have to be paired to my SB (Stepper Base) "SB100060" Chip?

Also I currently have installed a VS (stepper version) Chip "VS009GX0" and was wondering if I get an International VS chip if it would allow access to additional system settings? If I can anyone know what settings it would give access to?

Thanks!

Roz,
Check his other post. I believe he is trying to set the machine up with progressive.
I know some SBs do not have 7.3 menu.
I thought that Double Dollars did. Could it be the 198 SGs?

I did, and thought I seen he was using a 224 Clear?  :Scratch-Head:

Anyway, yes, the SGs are most likely the problem, but now, to determine what SGs he should have...and find someone who has them!

Whew! Thought I was losing there for a second!!! Ok, yah, he needs to use the correct clear chip to access the Progressive module. Is Progressive setup in 7.3? We don't do a lot of progressives, so I can't remember. I'm gonna try this 224 clear and see of it does what a 97 does. Seen a lot of people suggesting it, but we've only used it for I-Games I believe.

The 224 I believe works with 1270 with legacy.
I don't think clear will bring up 7.3 menu if it is not already there.
He should be able to see 7.3 in his menu now.

I think the trusty 363s should do the job.
I'm just not 100% sure the sb supports progressive.

Below is from the PAR sheet for his SB chip.  So if he uses SG363 he should not have any problems geting to these progressive menu.  He should also use VS011GX1 instead.

Roz, 224 is just the most recent version clear chip for S2000. Should work on all games, but some won't clear without it, Reel Touch is a good example

Here are the SG363's and a GX1 on Fee-Bay.. Raz is a good guy and a member here, I'm sure he would combine shipping.

363's

GX1

And I think you have another topic open about the progs.. In my opinion the mini would be the easiest route.. The CDS takes some bending, cutting, drinking to fit properly and show the last/right digit entirely.. The CDS is bigger (width) then the average S2000 prog glass window. (Unless someone knows IF there is dip-switch setting to center the amount.. I could never figure it out when I had a few CDS's) Or, you can always go the ChamII+ route, which I ended up doing.

Thanks Harvs, Ill try the chips provided in the link below. Also could you give me some info how I could install a ChamII+ on my machine?

Also, what changes would I see game play wise with the new SG chips? Would it stay the same with same payouts?

Thanks!

You wont notice any changes with the SG's.. The GX1 will change your displays look, it'll stop the scrolling type message 'PLAY 3' etc.. I like GX1's over 0's..

The ChamII is more involved.. First you would need the proper progressive glass for your game, then the ChamII would have to be programmed with all the settings and amounts you would like. And in some cases you would have to make or manipulate a harness to plug into your machine, if the correct one wasn't given. - If you went this route, I'm sure someone could program it for you for a fee (I personally do not have the cables or software to do so..)

(I should be posting this prog stuff on your other post..)
