Sounds like the last payline hit was for one credit (what's showing on the reels and what game is it?), and the last person to play cashed out a total of six credits.

It's a Double Diamond  Deluxe.  The  winner  paid. Is FLASHING and will  not  accept coins.

When you close the door and push the latch fully down, does whatever number you have in the "Coins Played" display go off for a few seconds then come back on with a different number?

If so, then the door optics are okay and it's a different problem.

Double Diamond Deluxe does not appear to have any line pays with a one-coin bet that would pay one coin, so that throws that out the window.

Is the Insert Coin lamp on?  If so, I'd make sure your sample coin in the coin comparator is seated properly, and take a tiny screwdriver to the sensitivity adjustment in the lower right corner of the comparator.  Gently rotate the potentiometer back and forth a couple of times, ending up dialing it away from the + (counterclockwise) and then close and latch the door and see if the machine will accept a coin.

We would like you to answer the previous two questions, need that information in order to direct you what to try next in order to fix your machine.

Bunker is trying to establish if you door optics are working? why?, if they are not working the machine will never accept a coin because it thinks the door is open.
Kevin is trying to have you set up the cc-16 for max acceptance, with a proper sample coin seated correctly and the adjustment all the way ccw, 99% of the time it will take almost every coin.

since the test coin in button allows to play games, then everything from that point on to the cpu is working, you either have a defective cc-16, or the machine thinks it is in a constant door open state.

my question is when you insert a coin, where does it end up going, to the hopper or to the coin tray? if to the hopper, then you may have a set of defective coin optics.

Turned out the the problems were the coin comparator was flakey and the insert coin light was burned out. Oops.
