Confused with Hopper + Jackpot Settings

Hey guys,


I've been working through the guides, specifically this one: http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=514.0


I admit I'm a novice with S+, so bear with me.


Anyway, what I'm trying to do is:


- No max limit on number of credits in the machine
- Cash Out triggers Jackpot key turn
- Disable Hopper


I've been trying to set different values in "Winner Paid" and "Credits" under Menu 7, but they always seem to end up the same after saving. I was thinking that setting 0000 in Winner Paid and 3000 in Credits would accomplish what I wanted.

Just checking. Are you using a sp such as a 1271?

There is a maximum number of credits which is 9999.

Set hopper limit to 0000 to key off credits.

There is a jackpot and bill limit in those 4 settings that are available in section 7-x.

Ah, I think that is what I'm missing, how do I get to the 4 different settings under Menu 7? I think I'm just stuck on 7-1.. not sure how to get to the others.

S+ I would try the attendant key.

Key does the same thing as "Change" does - just moves between the active digits in the setting you are on.


Bet One Credit moves between Winner Paid and Credits, then on to Menu 8


Max Credits moves backwards from what One Credit does


Spin Reels / Arm changes the digit value in the active field.


Cash Out doesn't seem to do anything

Hmm, actually - looking at the game chip, it's a SP980 - maybe that's why.

Yup, I think that's it - I found a setup guide for the SP980, and it doesn't have sub-menus. So, problem solved.

I just looked it up too. Check with RB. He can probably get you the correct SP to do what you want.
