No Response
« on: November 14, 2020, 09:17:23 AM »
I've got a Ten Times Play, I think it is a IGT S+, that is not responding normally.

When I flip the power switch, the light above the wheels comes on and the bill slot does its power on test.

However, the wheels do not do their test spin, the LCD numbers are all blank/off, and none of the lights come on above the wheels. I know the wheels normally spin, and I'm positive the lights above usually come on as well. It has been broken for a year or more.

I know very little about slot machines, which is why I haven't tried fixing until now.

I keep it plugged in because the last time it was unplugged the battery died and we had to replace it.

Thank you.

When the machine is on try to move the reels. Do they spin freely while moving by hand or are they locked up

All 3 of them spin, when spinning I can feel a little "click/stop"

Try to wiggle the plug that connects the power supply to the mother board and see if the reels lock up and it comes on

And if that is the issue here's a link to a replacement.

Must have glazed right over that FAQ!

Thanks for that, it fixed my issue! I was able to bend the connector so it would make contact. When it booted I had an error 61. I pressed the test button and got “61 1” on the display, then I turned the brass key to clear it. After another power cycle we were playing again.

I will be getting a new connector.

Thank you!
