 :EmoticonHelp4: ...I'm too lazy to find out what I did wrong?  :arrowthruhead:

Any ideas? S2000, Double Diamond 3CM3R1L chips on an enhanced MPU/backplane board set-up with the piggyback board.  :cool_thumb_up:

I did an "Auto-Configure", also ran a couple of printer tests and FutureLogic prints "VOID" tickets...but when I throw in a dollar and try to print a ticket, I'm only allowed to press the [Play] button  to go into a " Hand-Pay" and have to turn the reset key to take off the credits.  :no:

What is going on?  :banghead: :fuel_on_fire:

I think I found out what's wrong... :sherlock:

The EZ Pay red LED on the Power Distribution board is flashing like nuts...I'm going to change it out and report back.



Nope...swapped out with a known good one..."Hand-Pay" only.

Do you have TITO hooked up? Sounds like you have a wrong setting.

I agree but I'm not sure what is off because I followed the TITO instructions to a "T".

Going to perform a IVC00224 Clear and start over without the TITO to try to get the printer printing credits first.

I did try at first Qbert but I removed it and cleared the machine.
I need to get the printer working first I think.

Yes...I even put in a known good ribbon cable and Power Distribution board.
Did a Clear, had to configure basics, Upright machine, coin, accounting player denoms (.25 cents)
Ran "Auto-configure again...shows bill validator and printer connected.

Can I ask...what should be the FutureLogic printer version be? (This one's from my Game King Frankenstein)
I have to take off the duckbill LED lites to see the version underneath.
I can check on another S2000 printer that has one.


Update
I see on my Vision S2000, the FutureLogic version should be PSA-66-001N
Going to check the printer backplane interface board to see if it has that board back in there.
Swapped known good printer from Vision into this cabinet...still only Hand-Pay.

Installed questionable printer into into the Vision, works perfectly...so it's not the printer interface.
Problem MUST be in the settings or harness....swapping harnesses now.
Swapping harnesses didn't do anything.
By the way, both harnesses were exactly the same.

Swapped out WBA's - no change.
Need to compare machine option settings between both machines.

Checked & compared both machines settings in the options one-by-one....settings are exactly the same.
Vision prints & accepts tickets...problem machine still only goes to Hand-Pay.

Problem isn't in harness, printers or settings.
Only thing left to do is change out enhanced backplane and MPU.

1st photo is Version label of Vision printer.
2nd photo is the TITO ticket the Vision printed fine with suspect printer...>>>

Have another enhanced MPU in now.After keying it, in 7.2.1.1 SAS Validation Type, there are 3 options...>>>

Standard Mode
Enhanced Mode
System Mode

It is defaulted at "Standard Mode"
Should I change it to "Enhanced Mode" just because this MPU is an "Enhanced" board?  :rotfl:

Hmm...I removed the coin comparitor and coin in optics previously and
I have a jumper installed on the door harness like the other S2000's on TITO at the moment.
I have this machine set to coinless and did a few this same way but never had run into this before.
Going to clear everything to factory settings and start over then I'll key it to enable the printer anew.

Okay...I solved the problem.

I 224'd everything, keyed it and entered the normal settings (Upright Machine, Coin Denom, etc,etc).
There is one single setting that I changed that allowed this machine to print after pressing the "Cash-Out" button.

7.2.1.4 Hand Pay Validation.

I turned it off.
BOOM! It works!  :dancing_party: :happy_and_cheerful_birthday: :cheerleader:

Now...with a working printer, I can set up TITO.
Shout out to those that tried to help!  :cool_thumb_up:
