S2000 bill validator wiring

Hello everyone, I just picked up a really nice King Cash Barcrest. I replaced the dead battery on the mpu went through the clear/key procedure was able to access the key configuration I’m pretty happy so far just have 2 codes I can’t clear . . . yet. Closure M and 7 segment display mismatch. I noticed one of the three wires going to the bv was not connected to anything, the black wire and the red wire are connected but there’s nothing going to the white wire can somebody possibly help me with this?

Only 3 of the 4 connectors are used on the BV. Closure M is not an error. You can change the display type in Key chip config II 7.2.7

Thank you very much RB ,I think I might have on of those wires crossed. The bv is a MEI. So do you think this would cause the 7 segment display mismatch error?

There's only 2 selections 5-5-2 and 6-6-3. Obviously someone chose the wrong one when key chipping the machine. Post a pic of your BV wiring. The same 3 connectors in your machine are used on the MEI as well. Extra connectors on the BV will not be used.

Okay RB, I took some photos of the wiring coming out of the bv. So on the harness coming out of the bv there are 2 sets of wires, the wires you were referring to and a b/w/r wire that connect to that long grey cable with a ribbon connector on one end, the other grey wire that y’s off goes to the main door switch.

The only picture that matters pertaining to the BV is #2. It appears to be connected correctly. The other wires going to the cherry switch can be removed.

RB mentioned earlier than you need to key chip the machine so the display setting can be changed. If you don't have a key chip let RB know and he'll be able to help you there also.
