Hi !

I have a Monte Carlo with a bad payout disc that needs to be replaced.
The part number is :M 645 346
Hope someone can lead me to where i can purchase this either NOS or if there is any repro discs made.

Hello..Welcome to NLG..

Why do you think you have a problem with your payout disk as you call it.. It's actually the hoppers wiper board.. It's not something that's easy to find.. Can you show what's wrong with yours..

The machine is currently at a repairshop and it has been determined that the disc has several broken traces and as a result of this it's not paying out correctly.
They have bypassed the traces with wires and by doing this it pays out correctly so that's why i need to replace the disc.

Would it be possible to post a photo of the damaged area.
As itâ€™s pretty rare that these trace boards go bad.

that disc will be harder to find since it probably wasn't used on many models. Some options are:

1] if there's an unused trace that wipers sit on at reset, cut it to the appropriate length and use it in place of the damaged trace

e.g. if the 4 trace on top isn't used, cut it down to length 2 and use that as the 2 trace.

2] conductive epoxy repair

3] solder a thin metal patch in top of the bad trace that restores the trace end that has burned away

I don't have docs for that game so dunno which traces are used and what the payout disc looks like. Do you have the schematic ... or the w-923-447 payout disc diagram?

Sorry,i don't have any schematic for this machine.
Thanks for the tips on repairing the existing board.
The guys at the repairshop recomended installing a new board but if one can't be located repairing the one i have will be the only way.
I'll just have to keep searching. If i can use another board with a different part number let me know.

none of the boards I have diagrams for would work, but I don't know how many of the traces on your board are actually used.

I'd guess is anything with solder on the thru-hole is used, but I wouldn't bet a huge amount on that.

if you can google contact info for barry at fox slots (port ritchey, florida), he had some NOS boards. However, Monte Carlo (model 1117?) was I think made for denmark and australian markets, so finding parts may require hunting in two non-english (more or less) speaking countries.

Have you considered repairing your board? Bertech.com is a good source for trace tape. There is also a copper tape used in leaded glass construction that also works well in repairing edge connectors. Stick it on, cut off the excess and then lightly coat the entire piece with solder.
