are hoppers interchangeable? Now 3200 error

hi all
my friend has a newer s2000 3 reel that has the 3300 hopper error (see pic) and i have a old pe video poker game (see pic) and was wondering if i can put my hopper in his machine just for a test make sure before i rebuild his hopper?

Must be an early s+ or a very rare s/s+ hybrid.  S non plus cannot nudge.

well thats why i added the pic i really don't what it is. but was wondering if the hoppers are interchangeable or only from same type of machine.

hoppers on the S and S+ machines operate on 115v.  You could bench test it.

Disconnect the 2 wires connected to hopper motor, then apply 115 vac to the motor, it should rotate/turn.

i just picked up the hopper and it seems the motor is ok but the transmission might be locked up? when plugged in the motor makes a loud hum. I cant turn it by hand to get to the screws and yes i pushed the coin brake. can the plate in the front pull off?

wow what a pain I got the motor/transmission off opened the trans cleaned and greased it now all is good! the trans was stuck with old grease and the motor could not turn it. now I'll go back and put it in and hope it will finish with the pay out and clear the 3300.

 
i put the hopper back in but i've yet seen it spin in the machine. i can turn it by hand with a little force. so now it shows a 3200 error?
