Hi. Instal a new VS011GX0 chip to my s2000, and this give me "system error version prom crc 0xf002". This machine use SB100196 and SG000306. Any idÃ©?

Your version chip is failing a checksum test. Make sure it's installed correctly and no bent pins. If that's good then you'll need to replace it.

I took a look at the PSR for SG306 and it appears to be an international version. The GX0 may not be compatible with the SG306's? Has it ever worked? Here's what the PSR shows:

Version PROM The version PROM controls what is available to meet special jurisdictional requirements and controls what certain features and options are available. The label indicates STEPPER VERSION and the version number:
VS011IX0 = single denomination
VS011IX1 = multi-denomination
VS011IH0 = single denomination â€“ NETHERLANDS ONLY
VS011IH1 = multi-denomination â€“ NETHERLANDS ONLY

The VS011I indicates that it's an international version PROM.

You could give it a try. Usually 363's are used with 50X MPU, and 598's for 1270 MPU. I've never used 598's on a 50X series so I can't say for sure that it will work. Someone may read this and chime in. The PSR doesn't specify a MPU board type.

You'll need a Key 45 to set it up if you go that route.

If you are using euros you will need to be using an international VS chip. V011IX0 is what you probably should use with the SG306

If the machine is multi denominational then use VS011IX1.

Got the VS011IX0, and its stil give me the system error. Changed the GM chip to SG000363 on my 1270 board but same thing happend when I pull the door latch down. Dont know what to do to get this to work properly.

Do you know what the Checksum of the VS chip is?
All the pins in place and chip is installed correctly?

All chip are checked on the 1270 board. Non bent pins at all. All chip installed correctly. Have tr yd SG000306, 363, and 598. When I pull the door latch then its initializing and its says call attendant.

After that what does it say when you lift the handle.
If it says system error 90% of the time it's a corrupt chip or bent pins. If it's any other error message try turning the jackpot key with the door open.

Maybe this machine only will acepted VS009IX0 chip for SG000306 or 000363, since VS011IX0 don't work for it.

Does the VS009IX0 work?
If it does I would question the validity or your VS011IX0
Do you have any way to read the VS011IX0 and give me the check sum value?

No. Don't have VS009IX0. When I use VS011GX1 on 1270 and 502 board, its work perfect. Now its full of error when change this VS chip to VS011IX0.

But the 11GX1 doesn't have euros.
I still believe the VS011IX0 is corrupt.
Do you have any way to read the chip content and provide the check sum ( third request)
