S2000 Disable coin meter

My Triple Double 7’s machine has the coin meters enabled. It’s somewhat annoying, I put in $100 bill and tha counter is ticking away 10 minutes later. I disconnected the ribbon cable going to the meters and that’s not the way to do it. The display now shows meters/counters disabled. So it must be something that needs to be done in the programming. Any thoughts of what menu it’s in, and is it easy to program out? Do I need to key chip to do this procedure? Thank You.

You have to jump two wires if you unplug the harness to meters.  I found this post from foster:

Unplug the harness at the meter, locate the black with orange wire and the brown with gray wire
Jumper the black/orange and the brown/gray wires.
They are next to each other in the harness if you look closely at the meter board it does the same thing.

Just to clarify the 2 wires will be on one of the ends of the plug. Not in the middle.

I burn the paper/plastic off a bread tie, bend and cut to size and use it for a jumper wire.
