Thanks RB, it is a beautiful game! The red flames up the sides are what really sets it apart. Kind of like the gold wings on a Wheel Of Fortune

I just straightened the 2 contact wires and then the whole led slides out of the plastic. Then just used a box cutter and cut off the top ring.  I will try and post a couple of pics tomorrow.

I put a set of LEDS in my 3 reel machine last night, and they DO dim.  I have The Munsters in it right now and those strips are particularly transparent.  The one thing that this extra bright white light does, is that it washes out the colors form the strips a bit.  For example, the red bar symbols look a bit pinkinsh with the LEDs.  Overall though, these are some very cool leds.  I replaced the leds that I was using on my I-game's insert bill side insert with these as they are brighter and the game looks awesome.

I put a set of these LED's in my 5 reel machine. I didn't like how bright they were so I put a 5.1v Zener diode in each reel lamp assembly supply line. It cut the brightness down to almost off when not lit to about 'normal' brightness when lit. They still change the colors of some of the symbols though. I found some warm white LED's on ebay and will try those when they get here. Should solve the color change problem.
