S2000 Speakers

I currently have an S2000 round top with the internal type speakers. (Pic 1)

And I am wondering if I could replace them with external type speakers so I can add a top box printer. (Pic 2)

So I guess my question is really are they interchangeable?

Top box is different. Not interchangeable. I thought I could do that awhile back.

it can be done, you may have to add a audio amp and a audio harness, the audio outputs should be there. have to drill four holes on each side, I did it to a 3902 game king, made it into an 044 -super star machine.

Thanks for the responses guys!!!  So it looks like the key is just to leave the existing speaker grills in place and drill 4 holes for speaker mounting screws!!  Got it!!!

Five holes,  4 to hold the speaker in place and one for the wire and connector. I made a small pattern on a piece of cardboard to use as a templet for the holes.

Well as it turns out I just used a dremel to cut the Formica and they glued a small piece of particle board which was easy to chip out and voila!!!
