Printer install face plate customization

Hello, all well I have my printer installed and working after a lot of hassle. Yay! My question is now with the face plate and glass bracket. Do people typically just cut them to fit or is there one specifically made for machines with printers in the top box? If so, is there a source?

There are ones that are made but they seem to be expensive.  I literally just did the same thing and I cut mine!  Used a cutoff wheel.  I drilled a hole in the middle of the plate as the was a hole in the top box already and just used the left hand screw from where you cut it off and a nut.
