Meter disconnected

I know this has been covered a million times here, This particular machine I am working on gives that error occasionally, open and close the door and its ok for a while. Machine is not near me its a road trip for a service call, What is the advise to make that go away for ever the next time I am there?? I plan on jumping and disconnecting the meters, is there any other thing that would cause that I should prepare for IO card ect??? When I leave that trip I want to make sure its 10000000% solid

Could be the MPU board or an I/O card going bad.  Since you have to travel I'd take some spares with you so you can swap them out if need be.

I was over there last night he said after it was on for a while it would do it, I bypassed the meters, seemed ok for the hour or so I was there after that. Let’s hope that fixes it. Of the 3 IOs in there which is for the meters

For testing purposes, if I were to just pull out that particular I/O card on the MPU wall (with the power OFF of course), that message would appear on the VFD display?

Yes. Meters Disconnected. Doesn't rule out the MPU tho.
