Help - No Signal Input

I turned on my Game King this morning and got was a message "No Signal Input".  It's been working fine for several years.  I am not sure where to start or what to check first.  I tried to boot it up 3 times and got the same results.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update to "No Signal Input".  I guess i didn't wait long enough because it seemed to have fixed itself.  After a few minutes everything fired up and is ok for now.  I will post again if this becomes a problem.

Just a guess, but I think that "No Signal Input" message is coming from the display screen. That can happen when the screen powers up and initializes sooner than the rest of the machine (cpu or wherever the display video signal comes from). When you power on the machine do you turn on one switch to power up everything, or do you turn the screen on first, then the rest of the stuff separately? If the later latter then try turning on the screen last in the sequence.

Next time it happens, pay attention to the leds on the mpu and see if they are all lit up like they are supposed to.  Take note of what they look like when the game is working so you know if something is different when it is not.  You could have a borderline power supply that needs to be re-capped.

For whatever it's worth I had this happen on mine. I powered off, pulled out and then firmly pressed the MPU back in. I haven't had the problem since.

i have gotten it using wrong key chip and when it just pops up randomly i ususally reseat the display connectorat right rear


my lcds are door mounted and it all plugs into the same jack the crt chasis plugged in

Thanks to everyone for the good advice.  i believe that by shutting it off then pulling the mpu tray out and plugging it back in is what fixed it.  I appreciate!!
