IGT S2000 Can't Enable Printer

I can't enable my GEN2 Netplex printer in key configuration. I have a IGT S2000 using Key chip 45. I have the 8 pin connection made. Printer ready light is on. Printer will print a test page. When enable, the screen displays "Netplex auto config" and then goes to disable. The machine acts the same if I just unplug the printer and try to enable. The dip switches are all off except 2 which is on. Help is very appreciated. I have tried a different printer and cable with the same result. Please help.

Turn machine on while holding in the button on printer and it will print the firmware version.

Thanks for responding. Firmware: GNUSA5410 TKT-2.3
A label on the printer says that as well as PSA66ST2N

I have not found any info on that firmware version.
