Also as an additional question.....

Is the pinout on the connector to the backplane for the Tse Tse board the same as for the 550 and  a BB 1 cabinet???  Is there power available as well??

Thanks

SM

The pinout is different, so if you connect a Tse Tse to the 550 backplane, and then you migrate to a bb1, you will need a different cable.  The tse tse fly board requires a +12v power connection.

The 550 does not support SPN hardware.  Also Airplane is a BB2 cpu game, Stampede and hitchcock are both SPN buttons as are goldfish, mermaids gold, and cherry bomb, the others will work fine on a 550 conversion.

This is a Tse fly board. They usually are mounted on the backside of the top monitor. You will also need the CF that is for the top monitor.
Be sure to get the cables with it if you are going to buy one.

So you can't just throw a monitor in the 2nd port?

My 2 cents, from a guy who have several 550s and BB s and in the middle of converting a bb1 to a bb2 is to keep your 550 as is. And buy a BB1 reel machine and convert from there.  Should be your cheapest option.  The BB2 cabinets are amazing but way too expensive.  As far as the bb1 cabinet, which ever way you go(video or reels) its best to get the proper topbox size if you want it to look as close to original as possible with the upper screen being displayed.  I have dual screen topboxs on my machines and the upper 22" widescreen isnt as tall so theres a void to fill.
The guys commening on this post can correct me on the size top box to best fit the screen, but i think its around 15".
