Great Eagle

Hey Guys
I have Great Eagle S889-000-1080B2


My Sheet says Great Eagle is S889-000-1010B0
My Sheet says OS 1850
When I try to run S889-000-1080B2 with OS 1850 machine says OS and game not compatible.
Someone know what OS i need to run S889-000-1080B2?

This version (S889-000-1080B2) got the Bluebird 2 upgrade.. use OS H9.1... I personally use 9.23.

Just to be clear, this version S889-000-1082B2 will not play in a BB1 right? If that is correct is there a big difference in the graphics and game play in say Great Eagle 2 (which I have). I got this version S889-000-1082B2 because I thought it was a BB1 game. Thanks for the info Charles!!

H9 and H13 OS's will play on both NXT1 and NXT2 MPUs


The Great Eagle you have is OS family H9.1

It seems I have a bad game card. Tried it several times, with close OS and the OS you use, no go. My other BB1 games play just fine. This card was a repro from e-bay. The card that showed on his listing is different from what I received. His listing (it is still on e-bay) shows the Family tree. The reason it is still on E-bay is because I asked to purchase Software only (not the glass set) so he sent me a repro. I will assume this is a bad game card unless you can think of any other reason for it not to play. Let me know if you have any ideas or other thoughts.
Meanwhile I will send him a message and see what he says about it. I don't care it's a not original as long as it works.

post a screen shot of the part where it errors out, we should be able to tell where the problem is then.

Are you using an original OS card?  That message is typical if the OS card's flash nand's are not fast enough and it fails the pre-boot checks. Try either a sandisk extreme or ultra or an original WMS card for the OS.

It is not an original card. The folks I purchased it from are going to send originals. That should solve it I am hoping. :applause: :yes:

What kind of card did they send? Typically they have to be Sandisk and even then they have to be "real"ones with a certain capacity..............

Curious to know what they sent you.....Photo maybe??

iramack brings up a good point.  Do you have a -1160 bios or a 2000 bios on your machine.  If you are using the SSG type OS, you will need the newer 2000 bios.

They folks I purchased from said they may have a mismatch happening between Game / OS. I will follow up once I get
the other cards. I have 10 other BB1 games that play without a hitch

Ok, so I received the proper cards all is good. Very nice BB1 game. I like this wrap around pay. I had not seen this type yet. Thanks for the help guys!!

If you like Wrap Around Pays.... Eye of the Dragon and Silverback are WAY better than Great Eagle (IMO).

Thanks for heads up Charles. I really like the Silverback because it is pretty much like or is Gorilla Chief (one of my favorites). Eye of the Dragon is pretty cool to. I have been stocking up on BBI games until I get my BB2 board back from repair  :fryingpan: . I am overall pretty darn impressed by some of the BB1 games and really Impressed by the Dual Screen BB1 games I have purchased or seen so far and just blown away by the fantastic BB2 games out there, incredible in my opinion after mainly just playing IGT Games for so long.
