Bell and Coin mech question for a Bally 809
« on: January 02, 2019, 05:26:53 PM »
Hi Guys, Happy New Year!

I Have a couple questions about my Bally 809..

1st should the Bell Ring for every payout OR just a large one?

2nd I'm missing something covering my coin mech, but I have no idea what? (see pic)

If anyone has the part i'm missing, i'm obviously in need of it. The pic shows 10 cents But my machine is 25 Cents..

thanks!

Jim

The bell should only ring for a jackpot.

If that's what your machine looks like you have no coin mech??
I hate to recommend flea-bay but, I think this is the one you need?

Yes, you are missing the coin mech for your game. I’ve always liked using the Imonex style coin mechs.. As for your bell question, I have seen Bally 809 machines that only ring on jackpots. Then others that ring on every win.

Imonex model 950 25 cent coin-acceptor, Used, Good Working Condition https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F283281619871
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

i'm guessing that mine must only ring during a jackpot. I took some time and just traced the bell wire to a reel and it looks like the wiper on makes contact during a certain position..
thanks for input on the coin mech too
