Blade Video - CPU Not Fully Inserted
« on: March 09, 2018, 06:16:37 AM »
Hello all,

I have a Blade Video with a 3.2 CPU that is showing a CPU Not fully inserted error. The latch is down on the side of the cpu. I'm hoping I'm missing a jumper or loopback. This game came from storage and there is a chance that someone has "borrowed" something from the machine without replacing it.

I have tried to manually close the switch, pulled the switch and jumped, traced back to little distro board; its plugged in, swapped board with other game, replaced CPU, bulkhead and ram cleared. Put a volt meter on it and everything seems to be in working order in that respect. I know WMS likes to link the switches together so I'm sure that I'm missing a ground or something.

Any ideas and/or does someone have a wiring diagram so I can trace the switch wires?

Thank you for your time!!

Does the MPU have the door on it?  There's a switch on the bottom of the mpu that gets actuated when the mpu door is closed.  If absent, this switch needs to be closed with something, or the molex on the other end jumpered.  Although I've never seen a CPU Not fully inserted error.
