For a while now, when I turn on the machine for my week off, the validator continues to cycle but not completing its cycle until finally at some point it's maybe warm enough or it hits its right spot or something... not sure, but even after it finally completes its cycle, it won't completely accept a bill until its warm enough I guess (it'll take the bill in but not put it in the cash box). At this point I turn the machine off and back on and it will complete a cycle depositing the bill in the cash box and will register the credits.
Does anyone know what the remedy might be?... bad validator motor?... needs new rubber belts or belt adjustments (tried tightening the belts a bit)?
I'm not sure how many are still out there and how easily found and replaced it might be.
Thanks in advance, Jim

Usually it is the bill transport behind the bill validator.
It takes the bill from the validator and slides the bill into the cash can.
Try lubing all moving moving parts on the transport with some light oil.
You can also eliminate the cash can by tying the C and N/O wires on the switch below the cash can cavity.
Then the bills will fall into the empty cavity.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

Is there anything besides oiling that can be done(I've oiled some already)? Any adjustments? Does it have something to do with the rubber belts? Maybe the motor that drives the thing that pushes the bills into the can?
I really love to sit and play this machine and would hate it if eventually I can't get it to accept money.
How difficult would it be to find parts?
Thanks, Jim

I received the Xport and it works fine but unfortunately it didn't solve my problem... any other ideas?
Thanks, Jim

The other 2 options are a weak bill head or one of the bill drop side switches is defective.
You could send your bill head to us to be tested in our S5500 slot, It may need to be calibrated or updated, or the belts need to be rejuvenated.
We use a chemical called "platen renew" to soften up the belts, I think we got it from Mouser electronics. It's been a while
one bottle lasts for many years. We set the head for calibrate mode and open the top of the head, as the belts rotate we apply the renew chemical to get
to the entire belt(s).
As to the bill drop switches you can remove the COM and N/O wires from each switch and tie them together. This would also remove the need for the bill stacker
and the money simply falls into the empty cavity on the side.

So after inspecting the bill head and figuring how to open it to get to the sensors, all I had to do was wipe them off with my t-shirt and problem solved... at least for the time being but I'll take it!
Thanks, Jim
