Gk no touch

Have 3 of these all the same runnin on 2068 boards
Ones fine the other 2 have no touch and the 2 non working have the same damage to the board


C59 is physically blown
The U50 reg next to it tests good .... anyone know where the touch signals are digested on these boards ??
 Controller powers up fine and light changes intensity when screen is touched.


I’m trying to see if this issue is on this board or in another area.

C59 is a filter cap for the audio power supply and it's not uncommon for it to fail.  It usually doesn't harm anything else and the only thing you may notice is some humming coming from the speakers.  If the traces are still intact you can replace it.  The original 4.7uf 16V electrolytic, but it's better to replace it with a 4.7uf 25V.

The touchscreen is a netplex device and shares a common bus with other netplex devices like the bill validator and ticket printer.  Does the screen show any comm error messages?

 No it does not show any errors
 I have read a few threads on here mentioning to remove the stacker ahead and remove the printer I have also tried that with no difference
 As I mentioned the overlay does respond
 What is the procedure to get these devices talking again ?

Have you tried swapping MPU boards?  Is the problem in the machine or the MPU itself?

 Problem is in the cabinet my working MPU from the other machine does not work in this game

Most likely the touchscreen controller or the touchscreen itself it bad then.  I'd try replacing the touchscreen controller first though and see if that fixes the problem.

 I have a bunch of 3M white and black controllers from Megatouch unit’s ..... are they compatible with a game king

I doubt it.  Game King touchscreen controllers use IGT's proprietary Netplex communications protocol to communicate with the MPU board.

All MPU's good. When first powered up initially, there was a lot of leakage from the HV on carbon tracks. Probably made its way to the controllers and toasted them.

anyone have the pinout where the touch signals enter and exit the mpu as well as the backplane ?

Here's the MPU board connectors.  There's a couple of different motherboards, what type of cabinet do you have? 

When goes from monitor to the motherboard it joins the netplex bus along with the other netplex devices.
