IGT s-plus 16 mhz board no sound for coin or reel spin
« on: October 14, 2019, 02:08:27 PM »
I just purchased a IGT S+ Wild Cherry 3 coin machine with the 16mhz board and no sound for either coin & reel spin.  Checked the options with pushing the white test button until 2 and followed the instructions in the above post with no results.  Tried the test mode 50 and no sound either.  Speaker tests good and even swapped out a speaker from another machine.  I do not have another 16mhz machine to test the main board.  Is there an option that needs to be turned on with the clear/set chips?

Thanks, Dave

Still looking for ideas to look at for no sound on Wild Cherry Slot.  I have tried a new speaker, traced and tested wiring to the main board.  Any other ideas except changing out the mother board?

Thanks for the info in advance

Dave

I've rarely messed around with a 16Mhz board...the volume is in the settings....what SP chip are you using?

Found this for 16mhz: Volume Control <0> [3]   Sets the volume for all sounds and music produced by the sound generator (for the reel game).  Options range from loudest volume level {1} to lowest volume level {9}.

From SP1145:

Reel-Spin Sound <0> [2]   Options are reel-spin tones and reel-stop sounds {0} or reel-spin tones only {1}.
Volume Control <0> [3]   Sets the volume for all sounds and music produced by the sound generator (for the reel game).  Options range from loudest volume level {1} to lowest volume level {9}.
