hello i have a haywire igt slot machine and i cant get the bill validator to accept bills i bought a new one and am getting the same results motor will not engage when you try to place in money please help!!!!!!

It sounds like it is not activated.
Do you have a set chip?

First I assume you have a splus machine. Was it working before? If it was, what happened to knock it off line?

ill take some pics for you and yea it works as far as quarters but im wondering about the dip switches on the bottom of the validator what should be the setting they should be on or is there something im supposed to do with the reset key to set it up is there a way i can buy a modern validator that accepts modern bills

okay....judging from the reels, it's an S+.
You need to buy a SET chip to activate your bill acceptor from slots4home.

also i was wondering what chip i would need to upgrade validator to accept newer bills i know its an eprom chip but which one do i need and how do i line my reels up they are a little off course? and thanks for the help

Have you checked your settings to see if bv is on?

With the machine turned on and in idle mode, open the door press the white test button 2 times

You should see "2 n" or "5 n" in the winner paid/credits windows, where n= 0 or 1. Press the spin button until it reads "2 1â€ or "5 1"

turn key until you see "9 ?" If 9 0 it is off if "9 1" it is on.

I told you on the last post you possibly needed a set chip to activate you bill acceptor and some how you went from needing it to work to upgrading it to accept new bills.
You need figure out 1 problem at a time
If you go to the home page you should be able to find someone to sell you a set chip for your splus machine or post a want to buy in the classified section

I am going to get this restarted for you.
Follow the instructions from post # 13 ( the rockin Elvis)
He has instructions to follow to check and see if you bill acceptor is activated.
If it is not let this group know and we will get you a set chip to get you activated.

Yes, follow instructions from post #13. The validator you have will only take older bills with non color small head like the $1. You can still find old $50's and $100's at the bank. Otherwise your looking at spending about $100 or so for a WBA validator that will accept everything but the newest 100
